DSC Price Guide: What Changes the Total Cost?
Learn how type, validity, applicant category, token and assistance options influence the final price.
DSC price is influenced by certificate function, validity, applicant category and whether a compatible USB token is already available. Signature-only certificates are commonly less expensive than combo products, while foreign-national and document-signer certificates follow different pricing structures.
Prepare the requirement
The published eMudhra policy effective 15 July 2024 lists Class 3 signature options from ₹1,350, combo options from ₹2,000, DGFT from ₹1,800 and a token at ₹600. These are dated reference figures, not a promise of the amount shown in a future checkout.
Complete the controlled steps
Taxes, shipping, support plans and policy updates may affect the total. The same policy says payment is collected directly by eMudhra rather than partners. A trustworthy partner page should therefore explain the components and direct the applicant to the official payment flow.
Build in time for testing
Compare on suitability first. The cheapest certificate that does not meet the portal requirement has no practical value. Confirm function, applicant type, validity and token need, then verify the live amount before payment.
A reusable five-point checklist
- Record the portal and transaction.
- Match certificate function and applicant category.
- Prepare consistent identity and organization details.
- Complete verification only in the official flow.
- Test token, utility and portal mapping before the deadline.
The goal is not merely to obtain a certificate; it is to have a secure, usable certificate recognized by the system where work must be completed. If a requirement remains uncertain, ask the receiving portal or an authorized partner to confirm it before payment.
